Suggest Treatment For Red, Itchy And Irritated Swelling On The Penis Head

Question: hello,

I have developed some sought of an infection on the head of my penis. Following are the symptoms:-

Around the head of the penis:

Red skin
Swelling
Irritation and soreness
Itchiness
Inflammation

Foreskin:

Thick, lumpy discharge under the foreskin, producing an unpleasant odour
Difficulty pulling back the foreskin.

Pain:

When passing urine
During sex.

What treatment should I undertake ? Please suggest.

iv been married since last 7 months.. Nvr had sex before.. Also, while having sex with my wife, I have ensured to use a condom everytime.. Never had an unprotected sex.. Also never had this kind of a problem before.. please suggest what treatment should be undertaken.. thanks

Thanks for the details. You have got infection on your penis and most probably it is related to hygiene along with some minor trauma during sex or any other act. You need to get yourself examined by a dermatologist, as you will require few laboratory tests and a prescription for antibiotics. You need to go for a swab test(of the discharge) for identification of the causative organisms behind this infection. Urine examination can be an additional help.

You will need a course of antibiotic. Meanwhile take care of hygiene. Do gentle washing. Avoid sex or keep using condoms. You need to ask your wife if she also has any such problem. In that case both of you will need treatment at same time.

Don't delay doctor's visit.
