Suggest Treatment For Red Itchy Patches On The Feet

default
Posted on Wed, 14 Jun 2017
Question: Hi back. I have psoriasis on my feet that takes the shape of red itchy blotches and I use Clobetasol to keep it under control. But now I have a circle the size of a quarter on my foot with raised red edges and is blotchy red inside. Is that ringworm? And if so what over the counter cream should I use for it?

Also I just noticed that the red raised ridges around the circle have little white pustules in them. It could just be a different kind of psoriasis outbreak but I need to know if it's ringworm instead.

Brief Answer:
Either ringworm infection or psoriasis, upload pictures

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at HealthcareMagic
According to your complaints it could be either ringworm infection or psoriasis.
I would recommend you to upload the pictures of the affected areas so that I can have a clearer picture of the condition and can guide you accordingly.
Meanwhile you can use clotrimazole or miconazole cream as an over the counter antifungal twice daily.

Dr Asmeet
