Suggest Treatment For Red Lesions On Arms And Legs

--XXXX XXXXXXX
Could my problem be the result of infection by a blood-bourn parasite? ( the lake has such parasites in fish and also in crayfish at my cottage)
Possibly an external cause
Detailed Answer:
Hello Dear Sir
Welcome to this portal.
I am Dr V XXXXXXX a Sr Dermatologist.
I have noted your concerns and would guide you in getting relieved of the problem.
It would be advisable to send in pics of the lesions showing their morphology from close distance as well as from 1-2 feet to know about the distribution pattern.
In the meantime, please consider the following measures:
1 Wash the affected area with plain water as 4-6 times a day.
2 stay away from the suspected sources
3 An antiallergic like Zyrtec or Levocetirizine will be a help
4 Do not apply anything over the lesions but cover them if there is oozing.
Avoid sun exposure, scratching, or harsh soaps.
Please also inform as to how many times these episodes have occurred, any symptoms, how these get resolved, treatment taken if any, what exact areas are involved and any other contributory factor that you may recall.
It is less likely to be a blood borne infection.
I will await the information and respond to you on priority.
Best wishes.
