Suggest Treatment For Red Pimples All Over Body In An Infant
Allergic reaction with secondary bacterial infection
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
I have read your question in detail and I know that you are very concerned about your child but don't worry about it.
I have seen the picture that you have attached.
The red papular lesions all over the body is due to allergic reaction to the things that you have applied over skin.
Since, they are present all over body there are chances of secondary bacterial infection.
In my opinion, you should give atarax drops (hydroxyzine) 3 drops 3 times a day for 3 days and moxikind-cv drops (amoxicillin+clavunic acid) (1 ml=80 mg) 0.3 ml three times a day for 3 days.
Don't use the things that you have applied before.
Use olive oil for massaging the body of baby.
I hope this will help you.
Wishing your child good health.
Take care.
It will not harm baby
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome once again to HCM.
Can understand your concerns.
Allercet cetrizine doesn't pass through breast milk and will have no effect on baby.
You can breastfeed baby while on these .
A 8 month baby should be given following diet
- breastfeeding should be continued.
- ceralac should be given two times a day
- fruits like banana, apple should be given
- egg should be given daily
- food items containing rice and vegetables should be given but there should be no or very minimal chilli powder in that
- Oats can be given
- As a matter of fact, all things which you eat can be given to child but it should have less spices.
I hope this will help you.
Take care.
It's not seizure
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Don't worry, this is not seizure.
Whenever a child taste a new food item, he usually shakes his head in yes and no motions.
This is a normal thing.
Don't worry.
Take care.
Should take the child to doctor for check up
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
If it's not the first time that you have given banana, then it could be seizure.
You should take the child to doctor and get it examined.
An EEG should also be done.
I hope this will help you.
Review back after examination by doctor and EEG report.
Take care.
Involuntary movements that persists for few minutes
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Seizures appear as involuntary movements of limbs or head in child with episode of vomiting.
If you rule out seizure than an eeg is a must as it will clearly tell us that whether it was seizure or not.
Take care.
Seizures are treatable
Detailed Answer:
HI XXXX,
Don't be so afraid.
Seizures in children are treatable.
Repeated seizures may affect brain but we have to be more vigilant so that we did not miss any seizure like activity in future.
If there is involuntary movement like this then a eeg is a must.
I advise you to continue the calcium drops and if there is a episode like this in future, then do a eeg at the earliest.
Take care.
