Hi, i just finished working out and noticed i have some sort of rash that appeared out of no where. They are scratch mark like and red puffy lines looking. On my neck and down the right side of my stomach/ under arm. I did drink a protein drink I’ve never had before and I’m thinking it’s a allergic reaction but still would like an answer.

Brief Answer:
A picture might help

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Allergic reactions with edema (urticaria) are usually characterized in appearance, therefore a picture might be much more helpful. Itchiness is also in favor of an allergic reaction. You haven't mentioned any itchiness though. Did you have any?

An allergic reaction is the most likely cause of a suddenly appearing rash in an otherwise healthy individual.

Awaiting an update with pictures.

Regards

No, I didn’t have any itching problems. It just freaked me out a little because they almost looked like scratch marks. I did upload the pictures for your view.

Brief Answer:
It's probably allergic in nature

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Although itching would have confirmed my thoughts, the appearance of the rash reminds me of an allergic reaction. Its appearance resembles atopic dermatitis features where scratches on the skin may swell and form swollen lines. The skin lesions are not dangerous on their own. If the reaction spreads to internal sites then it can get dangerous. For example swelling in the throat may cause suffocation. Therefore if you develop such symptoms you should rush to the ER right away.

In many cases getting a dermatologist to have a close look (in person) at your rash seems like a good idea. An antihistamine (eg. Benadryl) may help in the meanwhile.

I hope you find my comments helpful! Let me know if I can assist you further.
