Question: good day.a small red out break at top of both legs in groin only. have this last 10 month I think after trip to a swimming pool.all most like a cold sore areal hot shower gives sum relief short term

As per details and the site of rash you mentioned, the moat likely possibility for your symptoms is a condition of skin called Tinea cruris. It is fungal infection of skin involving the groin area. It is characterised by red colored itchy rash . It may get macerated due to wetting as a result of sweat or water .
Various precipitating factors are excess sweating, hot humid weather, contaminated swimming pool.
In such cases, I prefer to advise topical antifungals like clotrimazole cream and tablet fluconazole.
Keep the area clean and dry.
Visit your doctor so that he can do clinical examination of the area and give you prescription.
