Suggest Treatment For Red Spots And Bumps On Limbs
Brief Answer:
History and pictures required
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for posting on HCM.
I can understand your concern regarding the skin lesions .
I have reviewed your investigations and they seem to be pretty normal.
From your history it seems you might be having some allergic skin reaction or could be scabies but its too difficult to point specific diagnosis in absence of clinical examination.
Therefore, I insist you to post good clinical pictures along with little history in brief so that I can help you in a better way.
You can mail pictures to YYYY@YYYY

Brief Answer:
Trace the allergen, Oral antihistamines
Detailed Answer:
Hello again,
I am sorry to say i havnt recieved any clinical pictures.
From your description its looks like you are having episodes of urticaria or hives, a kind of allergic skin eruption.
I would advise you to consult a dermatologist for proper management.
The allergen can be food item or drug or some foci of infection in your body. Chronic conditions like diabetes, thyroid disorders, etc can also lead to urticaria.
Certain specific tests like patch test, prick test etc apart from routine investigations can be done to find the allergen.
The best treatment is avoidance of allergen as far as possible.
Usually for symptomatic patients, I advise a long term course (3-6 months) of various antihistaminics with or without corticosteroids.
Also, in certain non-responding cases various other medications like dapsone, montelukast, cyclosporine, omalizumab can be tried.
Wish you best of health,
Thank you
