Brief Answer:
It is likely to be due to infection of glans penis(Ballanitis)

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have red bumps on glans penis that developed after unprotected sex

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1) Do you have nay urinary symptoms like burning urination ,increased frequency, urgency etc ?
2) Do you have any discharge from urethra?

The cause of the red bumps on glans penis is mostly due to infection acquired through unprotected sex (Ballanitis) .

You need to take broad spectrum antibiotic like Cefixime along with anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily .along with topical antibiotic ointment like Neosporin twice daily.

Ensure to wash your genitals with warm water twice daily.

Ensure to avoid sexual encounters till it heals up completely.

In view of you having unprotected sex if the female partner is unknown to you it will be advisable to get basic blood test for STD and HIV done to be rest assured about acquiring STD or HIV.

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.

Brief Answer:
It can be confirmed only by lab test

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for follow up .
It is practically not possible for any physician to confirm or rule out Herpes based on description .It can be confirmed only on clinical examination in person and has to be supported by laboratory test of fluid from the lesion .
Thanks and Regards.
