Suggest Treatment For Red, Swollen And Clear Liquid From Penis
Question: So several weeks ago I had some sort of thing on my penis. Is made everything right underneath the head of it red, swollen and having clear liquid coming out of it. I showed my friend who said it was a yeast infection and was easily handled with some antifungal cream twice a day. It cleared up 95% percent of it. Now the underside of my penis where the line looking thing that connects the head and the shaft connect is still like an open sore. Now it has got better very slowly. I got back from a trip and now my girlfriend has a little bump between her anus and her vagina. I'm really concerned because she says it one similar to one i had earlier. Please help
Brief Answer:
Candidial balanoposthitis
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
I understand from your query that you are concerned about a lesion on your penis.
From your history and description, I would consider the possibility of a persistent yeast infection. However, I would also want to rule out genital herpes as you have now developed a " sore".
You have a feature to upload the images by yourself at the right side of the query page, please utilize that so that I can answer your query better. You can also send the image as attachment to YYYY@YYYY , with the subject as 'Attn: Dr. Johny Chacko'.

Thats the little sore I'm talking about. Besides that everything else has returned to normal. No burning,no itching, nothing else really major.
Brief Answer:
Could be traumatic
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I saw the picture you have uploaded.
It is a single erosion ( a break in the mucosa) and from its appearance, it could have been traumatic.
If this is the first time you are experiencing this type of a lesion, I would probably rule out genital herpes because the first episode of genital herpes presents with multiple such erosions which are extremely painful.
I would suggest you to apply an antibiotic cream like 2 % Mupirocin twice a day for about 10 days. It should heal with that.
Hope this helps you.
Take care.

Dr. Johny Chacko
