Suggest Treatment For Red Uvula, Soreness And Lump Feeling In Throat

suggestive of Upper respiratory tract infection
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,
Thanks for your query.
I have gone through the case history as well the pictures as attached to your post.
In your post, you have not mentioned about history of allergies/ asthma, etc. or any recent/ prolonged intake of medications.
Under such circumstances, the symptoms are suggestive of Upper respiratory tract infection.
There is a connecting tract (known as Eustachian tube) between the nasopharynx & middle ear through which pressure equilibrium is maintained.
Any obstruction to this Eustachian tube, secondary to an upper respiratory tract infection, sinusitis, cold & congestion, etc. can lead to stuffiness/ popping sensation by causing un-equalisation of pressure between the nasopharynx & middle ear.
The red pin dots on tongue are attributed to deficiency of vitamins and minerals in diet.
Clinical examination is important for diagnosis, so I will advise you to consult your Doctor/ ENT specialist for a proper clinical examination.
Certain investigations like complete blood count, serum electrolyte assay and culture & sensitivity(C/S) of the throat swab will be helpful.
Once the infection is established, a course of antibiotics will be prescribed against the causative organism.
Till then, symptomatic relief can be obtained with:
1. Warm salt water gargle to relieve throat pain.
2. Analgesic anti-inflammatory preparation like paracetamol.
3. Multivitamin & mineral supplements.
4. Antihistamine preparations like Cetrizine or Allegra can also be used to provide symptomatic relief.
5. Anti-tussive syrup to control cough
6. Avoid taking cold food & drinks, maintain adequate hydration & take soft, non-spicy foods.
Wish you good health & a speedy recovery.
Take care.

Symptomatic relief in 2-3 days; underlying cause to be treated
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,
Thanks for your follow up query.
A. Temporary relief from the symptoms can be achieved in 2-3 days with the help of the measures mentioned in my previous answer.
However, until the causative agent/ organism is tackled, the symptoms will keep recurring.
B. The clear elastic substance coming out of your throat is the mucus.
This is produced by the glands in respiratory tract in response to an irritation/ infection.
C. The swollen taste buds and tongue can be attributed to deficiency of certain vitamin & minerals in diet as well as hyperactivity of localized lymph nodes in response to an infection/ inflammation.
This will return back to normal once the infection is controlled.
Wish you good health.
Take care.
