Suggest Treatment For Reddish And Painful Splotches On Arms
Cholinergic urticaria, avoidance of triggering factors and antihistaminics
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at Health Care Magic
According to your complaints you seem to have developed cholinergic urticaria.
It is an allergic reaction which occurs whenever the temperature of the body is raised due to exercise, gym or being in the sun.
It is characterized by tiny itchy wheals which disappear on cooling and can maximally last for 24 hours.
In such cases treatment consists of avoiding the triggering factors like sun exposure and exercise which increase the body temperature along with antihistaminics like tablet Loratidine 10 mg or Levocetrizine 5 mg once or twice daily depending on the intensity of the allergic reaction.
These are usually continued for a long period say 2-3 months under the supervision of the doctor.
I hope your query is answered and would be happy to clarify any further doubts.
