Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
I have reviewed the attached photograph and need to ask you few questions:
What is the duration of the redness?
Is redness associated with itching, burning or any other symptoms?
Have you used or applied anything new on the penile skin?
Are you having any other ailments?
Are you taking any medicines?
Kindly revert with the answers.

Thanks for your quick response. The redness has been there for about a year and is worse at some time than other times. There is no itching or burning as such but sometimes the skin feels inflamed and swollen. I have never put anything on the skin in the penile or scrotal area. I do have type 2 diabetes which is not under control. I also take blood pressure medication (candesartin cilexetel plus 10mg perindopril/10mg amlodipine). I also have lower back problems which leads to inflammation at times. XXXXXXX GLOVER
Brief Answer:
Looks like red scrotum syndrome, cap doxycycline & tacrolimus ointment
Detailed Answer:
Hi
According to your complaints it seems to be red scrotum syndrome.
It is a chronic disease of the scrotal skin charactersised by redness and sometimes burning.
If I was your treating doctor I would recommend you to take capsule doxycycline 100 mg once daily and apply tacrolimus 0.1 percent ointment on the affected areas twice daily.
These are prescription drugs and you need to see the doctor in person to get them.
