I would advise you the following with explanations wherever required:
Redness, lot of bumps and pain that comes ever now and then is like a hot poker for the last one year indicates that the lesion is chronic.
- Color doppler of the lower limbs to see if there are incompetent venous valves and varicose veins.
- If some infective pathology is suspected a biopsy can be of help.
- Take an opinion of a Dermatologist and a General Surgeon according to the lesions and the opinion of your Primary care Doctor/ Family Physician.
- Getting a correct diagnosis should be the priority.
