Suggest Treatment For Redness And Swelling At Site Of Injection

Question: Hi,
I had a pneumonia vaccine yesterday, second does, and a flu shot, both administered at the top of my let arm. It has been sore. Now I have a red and hot area above my elbow that is swollen. It is about six inches below the injection sites. Likely just a side effect of the vaccines I can ignore. It is not terribly painful, but I don't like the redness, swelling (not major) and the heat feeling. I don't know why the reaction is 6 to 8 inches below the site.

Brief Answer:
Yes it could be because of injections.
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,
yes the redness and hot area appears to be because of injection. These are signs of inflammation. You may take a tablet called chymoral forte which may reduce the swelling.
If the swelling or redness persists or increases in size you may have to take a course of antibiotics after consulting your PCP.
