Suggest Treatment For Redness, Bruising And Swelling Near Thigh Injury
Brief Answer:
Yes you should to rule out any active bleeding.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome
I appreciate your concern
Yes, you should as a clinical examination would indicate if there is any blood accumulation that is responsible for the swelling. If so an Ultrasound of the lower limb including specifically the bruised area can be done for confirmation. INR can be checked on the same day and Coumadin would be stopped till the bruising and swelling subsides. If there is no evidence of a bleed and the INR is within range there may be no need to alter the medication.
wishing you best of health
thanks
