Question: Hi Doctor, My 1.6yr son is suffering redness in his left eye. This started a month back when he got injured via his mom's finger accidentally. that time moxicip drops were used by which redness disappeared. But this started again a week back in the same eye and the drops aren't giving results. he rubs his eyes almost every time.Could you please recommend treatment. Brief Answer:
Anti allergy drops needed

Detailed Answer:
My dear,
Thanks for sending your query to us
This is allergy.Oxicip being antibiotic, will not help.Try to prevent exposure to dust and sun.We prefer oloptidine eye drop twice or thrice a day marketed as ola or olopat eye drops. This redness and itching will keep recurrso this is a safe drop for long term use.
There are other drops for short term use and are useful in severe allergies like ciplox D,this is not to be used for more than 4-5 days.
Use Olopat thrice a day for about a week and child will be fine.
Do get back to me in case of any further query in this regard.
