Hi,
As per your thinking is concerned ,it should be justified clinically. So to confirm it i suggest you three things one is do a clinical examination by an ophthalmologist then do an physical examination by a neurologist then do a MRI scan .As per your question whether it is a hereditary tendency or not i may say not at all. Please share your scan report and i will tell you what procedure will be done next in detail.(Thanks)
