Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your query at HCM.
I understand your concern and situation.

It seems you have acquired some sexually transmitted disease. Now you will need examination of genitalia and laboratory work up to determine the cause. It can be one of following causes:

- Mostly such lesion are commonly due to fungus and excessive friction which causes redness and , painful Itchy rashes. Are you overweight? As it is more common in obese patients.Obese and active people are more susceptible. Do you have itching or pain? It could be genital candidiasis which is also a fugus infection that causes itchy rash on the penis. These infections are more common in immunocompromized patients. Are you a diabetic? Get your fasting and post prandial sugar levels done. You can get skin scrapping done for fungal microscopy examination and culture. If fungal infection you will need 4 weeks treatment with topical agents like loprox 1% with hydrocortisone and systemic antifungal therapy. You could less likely be suffering from Herpes simplex type 2 which is a sexually transmitted disease.
It spread by direct contact. Do you have painful blisters, itching, and discharge, swelling, reddening, or a feeling of pressure in the groin. Such infection heal in about 3 weeks. I suggest you must also get tested for VDRL, HIV ELISA 4 th generation, Hepatitis B. Keep in touch with follow-up. Maintain good body hygiene especially genital area. Avoid sexual intercourse for few weeks.
