Brief Answer:
you need to get clinically examined and investigated thoroughly ..

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX welcome to HCM,
I've gone through your query and understand your concern,

Now first of all, please note that this can be due to several factors, starting from the nature of growth spurt (your parents and XXXXXXX family members will help you, just ask them in details regarding the tentative time of puberty attained by you in the first place..)

Secondly, a complete hormonal profile check-up should be done to look in to it further (Growth hormone, Thyroid function test, Testosterone- both free and serum, SHBG and DHEA level as well as LH, FSH, DHT along with CBC, elctrolytes, FBS, PPBS, Vit-B12 & Vit D3 levels).. Seems like a lot, but they are necessary in order to achieve a proper diagnosis..

Thirdly, please note that even if these above profiles come back within normal ranges, still there's large no individuals where Genetics play the majority of the role (means if there's any familial predisposition then it's quite likely the same in your case too), till now there is no active treatment if this is the scenario, however for cosmetic purposes, you can certainly visit to any good Dermatologist to discuss regarding the further option (several hair as well as beard transplantation options are available now a days)..

Please also note that despite all these factors, another important contributory factor is there i.e. alopecia, an immunological disorder, can happen at any age and indeed affects the hair and beard which often remain unnoticed due to it's silent nature, thus a proper detailed clinical examination is necessary in order to rule this out..

There are several other complicated factors which also contribute to the same (I'm not going in to those details as they are not that much common compared to these)..

So first of all, I'd suggest you to get yourself checked out by the Dermatologist once to determine as well as rule out any such important contributory factors, followed by those investigations to look in to it further..

Meanwhile please avoid smoking (if you do), excessive alcohol (if at all consume), stay well hydrated by drinking a lot of water, include a lot of fresh green vegetables and seasonal fresh fruits..

Do let me know if there's any further queries..

Thanks Doctor. I have visited few dermatologists, but no one had talked about hormonal tests.I had taken Testosterone test some 4 years back, it was in normal range, but at the low range of normal. Is it enough to visit a dermatologist or should I consult an endocrinologist. I am located in XXXXXXX can you please refer any doctor in and around XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
follow-up consultation..

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back XXXXXXX
Thanks for following up with these details,

Coming straight to the point, the reason why the Dermatologist's might not discussed about hormonal profile can raise the suspicion for those other plausible causes which I've already explained in details in my previous reply (just go back to the previous answer and read thoroughly and you'll find them out).. [there's another remote possibility, which may also include that Dermatologist's might not felt those symptoms are that significant as it's appearing, it's unlikely but still possible ]

However, you should also note that an isolated value of testosterone carries no significance in this scenario (like I've already mentioned, if hormonal work-up required, the complete profile should be done along with those few additional investigations as already mentioned).. And it's always advisable do such investigations after consulting a relevant specialist not only to avoid any unnecessary investigations but also at the same time including all the relevant investigations at one go..

To arrive to final diagnosis, it's still better to consult a well experienced Dermatologist in this field followed by an Endocrinologist (however since you've sought advises of the Dermatologists already, then go for the consultation with the Endocrinologist in the first place)..

You can check with Dr XXXXXXX Seshadri at Fortis Malar, XXXXXXX
or Dr Shanmugasundar at Magna Clinics for Diabetes and Endocrinology, KK XXXXXXX XXXXXXX [appointments can be easily booked online as per your convenience]..

If after this visit, they feel that there's a need to get checked up by a Dermatologist again, then they'll only refer you for that, so don't worry..

Let me know how you stay in the due course..
