Suggest Treatment For Renal Cysts

Question: I have both kidney's affected by hot air balloon shaped attachments. These are looking like they are feeding off the kidneys. Can you help explain this condition!

I saw the shape on an laptop computer in the ER Room of the XXXXXXX WA Vets hospital. I questioned the ER Doctor what was showing on the screen. It was obvious the Doctor did not want to discuss the problem. I will ask for an explanation when I return to my Primary Care Team. I have not had a blood test recently, but the urine was collected. The mass was not clear but cloudy. It seemed to pinpoint at the top of my right side kidney. The left side kidney shows a smaller mass.

So you were getting an ultrasound done in the ER when you say this on screen?

Well your description sounds like you are having isolated renal cysts.

Just look into pictures of "renal cyst" on internet and tell me was it something like that?

When are you going to get your urine test results?

Why did you go to ER? what problems were you having?

Thanks for writing back,

Some times renal cysts are benign and they don't need any particular treatment , rarely a renal cancer looks like this or there are some cyst types which need to be addressed they need treatment. Didn;t your doctor tell you any thing about what he saw? I guess it must have been a simple cyst , the one which doesn't need any treatment so your doctor was not much concerned.

Did you look at the pictures of how a renal cyst looks like? Do you think it was this what you saw?

Before guiding you about the treatment i will need to know a few things that will help me determine the extent of your problem and the treatment you might be needing.

1) Is there any symptom you are facing? any pain at kidney area or pressure?

2) Ever has lood in urine?

3) Ever had body swelling?

4) Any weight changes lately?

5) Any changes in blood pressure levels these days?
