Suggest Treatment For Respiratory Tract Obstruction With Severe Nausea

Question: my friend feels like food is getting caught near the top of her chest. she is nauseaous alot, she cannot eat much food at a time, so she eats often in small portions. does this give you enough info.

I've gone through your query and understand your concern,

Now hiatus hernia can definitely cause this kind of symptoms but there can be some serious problem underlying too.. If the hiatus hernial content suddenly reverse back up it can even cause respiratory tract obstruction and severe life threatening respiratory distress..

There can even be underlying cardiac problems for which she needs to be physically examined by the ER/Urgent Care people..

She needs to be taken to your nearest ER/Urgent Care for a prompt diagnosis of the underlying problem and immediate management..

Please don't panic but take her immediately to the ER.. on the way, make sure he kept sitted upright and remain alert..

They may run a battery of tests including 12 Lead EKG, Cardiac enzymes, Chest X-Ray , Echo Cardiography and Blood Gas analysis while keep her under strict monitoring and manage accordingly..

Don't her her eat or drink anything in the meanwhile as , if the problem persists , it can actually get worsen by this..
