Suggest Treatment For Retrograde Ejaculation Due To Flomax Intake

The Flomax causes retrograde ejaculation. Doctors seem this is not a problem, but it is a deal breaker for me and I have read blogs thar indicate large nbr of men agree. I have been researching. (I am on metoprol for
the afib, and the BP. Losartan seems to be the best I have found for BP and the afib, but haven't gotten far enough to know what can replace Flomax and not cause RE. What do you think?
I have read about saw palmetto, but Johns XXXXXXX report says placebo works as
well. I have pretty much settled on the losartan to replace the metoprolol, but
replacement for Flomax has me stumped.
Will await your email. Thanks!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about this sexual difficulties that you have reported. Unfortunately, all drugs that work on prostate symptoms like Flomax belong to the same class and would all cause similar symptoms to Flomax. This means that this drug would not have a replacement that would not cause retrograde ejaculation.
Losartan would be a good replacement for metoprolol but would not produce stellar results as metoprolol in controlling Afib. However, it would be okay to give it a try and see what the results look like. Should it fail to control your Afib, you may want to return to metoprolol.
In all, no reliable replacement for Flomax without similar side effects.
I hope this helps. I wish you well and thank you so much for using our services. Feel free to ask for more information and clarification if need be.
