Brief Answer:
try antihistamines

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
Running nose and mild cough at this age is usually viral.
Are any of your family members suffering from cold and cough ?
What is the duration of cold and cough ?

Because usually babies get the infection from adults who are handling them.
I would usually prescibe antihistamines like cetrizine syrup 3ml twice daily at this age.
Nasal saline drops can be administered 4 times daily to help breathe better.
For cough i usually prescribe for my patients plain ambroxol like mucolite drops 0.5 ml twice daily would help.
But if cold gets worse or if feeding becomes less and baby becomes more dull better take her to your doctor .
Antibiotics are not required unless prescribed by your doctor after complete examination
Feed frequently and ensure urine output atleast 6 times daily

Wishing your child speedy recovery.
Regards Dr Arun
