Suggest Treatment For Ruptured Appendix
Question: I had an apendectomy on March 13th because of a ruptered appendix. Exactly a month later I went to the clinic with what I thought was a UTI (I felt the urge to urinate constantly). It came back negative, but they put me on antibiotics anyway. A week later I had an episode where I woke up vomitting, had intense (appendix like) pain in my pelvic area, abdominal bloating, and numbness in my arms. This was a week before my period. A transvaginal ultrasound revealed a few cysts and fluid in my abdomen. In july a week before my period the same thing happened, excpet this time I completly blacked out. After weeks of sever diarreah I went to my gynecologist. A transvaginal ultrasound revealed a small cyst. A culture revealed a lgiht ecoli. infection. I completed anitbitics and was still having severe pain, dirreah, and discharge. I went to my primary care physician who discovered I have off the charts levels of EBV, and a light bladder infection. I completed abother 10 day round of antibiotics. I am still having pain, weight loss, extreme abdominal bloating, discharge, and bloody discharge. What would you reccomend as a next step?

Your symptoms are much close to the partial bowels obstruction than to any gynecological problem. Due to ruptured appendix, in your abdominal cavity there was advanced inflammatory process. Such process leaves scars which in abdomen are called adhesions. This adhesions impede bowels movement due to bowels narrowing.
Moreover, due to ruptured appendix, sometimes ovaries and uterine can be involved. In extreme cases, even a connection between uterine and intestine or uterine and bladder can appear. If so, E.Coli infection can be an indication of such connection.
As the next step, I suggest you to consult gastrologist. Abdominal CT called enteroclysis seems to be the most valuable test at this point.
