Question: hello my name is XXXXXXX and I had muscle muscle rupture and I feel I gap on my leg what I should do ?
on the gp the give my only painkillers

please check the picture below

I think is the biceps femoris muscle I need surgery?

I have seen the attached images. The gap in the muscle that you can see can be due to a fibrosis after a soft tissue injury. This can be a normal variation also. A ruptured muscle is painful and restricts the normal movements of the leg. This seems to be a minor soft tissue injury and any surgical correction is not needed. An MRI scan will help in confirming the diagnosis.
