Suggest Treatment For Scabies

Question: I have scabies and all the normal treatments do not work. I saw that Mayo Clinic recommended a prescription drug and I believe it started with the letter A. I cannot find the information that stated when all else failed get this rx from your doctor. Thank you XXXXXXX XXXXX

I read it carefully and I understand your concern.

The evidence based treatment of scabies its:
-- Permethrin 5% cream, applied to all areas of the body from the nexk down and washed off after eight to fourteen hours and appky again after one week.
-- Ivermectin 200mcg/kg single dose repeated after one to two weeks.
-- Its suggested that if you have crusted scabies to treat simultaneously with oral ivermectin and topical permethrin 5% cream.

There is no other treatments then these recommended.
Make sure also to also remove all sheets and wash with high temperatures.
