Brief Answer:
Have to look at other causes

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have been referred patients by the gynecologist for similar problem with normal ultrasound examination and normal sex hormones. One cause of reduced periods is the use of oral contraceptives or hormonal IUCD ( intrauterine contraceptive device). You have not mentioned these.

If there is no obvious cause, I do a Thyroid function test (TFT) because hyperthyroidism ( excessive activity of the Thyroid gland) can produce scanty periods and some cases have been detected and successfully treated. If you have not had a TFT, I would suggest that.

I shall be happy to answer if you have any further query.
Have a good day!
