Suggest Treatment For Schizophrenia

It's been 10 seatings now and 1 injection, negligible improvement that we have seen in her. we are planning to take 2 seats per week for rtms and injection once in 3weeks for her.
I want to know if we are on right track. Is there in quick way to heal her. How long should it take? Any side effect of current treatment or any thing in future.
Illness runs a chronic course and can be treated but can't be cured
Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries
I can understand your concern. First of all I'd like to tell you some details about Schizophrenia. Schizophrenia is a psychiatric disorder associated with abnormalities in behaviours, thought, cognition and perception. The disorder occurs due to abnormal neurotransmission especially of dopamine. The disorder runs a continuous chronic course. There is no permanent cure for schizophrenia. With proper treatment the disorder remains under control but it can't be cured completely.
rTMS is a newer modality of treatment that is found to be useful in negative symptoms of schizophrenia and depression. Multiple seatings are required for better results. But in Schizophrenia the therapy is found to be effective only if patient also takes medicines. So in my opinion you are on right track but there is need for medicines. With treatment she might improve with symptoms but her illness will persist. This is really a stressful thing to know. As the therapy is costly also and she had already undergone multiple seatings and no improvement so I'd also advise you to discuss with her psychiatrist for other modality of treatments.
She doesn't want medicines but some long acting drugs available as injectable forms can be given to her. Risperidal Consta is long active Risperidone and has excellent results. You can think of this treatment also. The results are excellent if treatment is given properly. With one to two injections per months her symptoms will come under control in about 2-4 weeks. Discuss with her doctor for that.
THANKS, Hope this helps you. Please don't hesitate to ask again for more doubts.
Take care
