Suggest Treatment For Seborrheic Dermatitis And Hair Loss
Could not read the response of my last question. Was discussing seborrheic dermatitis an how it is tied into Hiv. My sexual encounter was 5 months ago would I be getting seborrheic dermatitis this early as a symptom. I had mentioned to the doctor my scalp is very itchy an I have had keratosis growths on my head for a long time but just recently the bumps have begun to hurt. My doctor tried to freeze one or 2 of them. Concerned about hiv as I read 85% of people with seborrheic dermatitis are hiv positive. I have had no fevers or flu like symptoms had some night sweats not every night but figured they were from anxiety. The other person just had a 90 day test that was negative. Wondering since this is the first time I had unprotected anal sex what my chances are of contracting HIV ? The other person is not having any problems is it possible my stress level is causing all of these symptoms like itchy scalp an pain in the bumps on my head? I am scared to get my own test please help
Hair loss is due to stress, No link if test are Negative
Detailed Answer:
Hi, Welcome to HealthcareMagic,
I have gone through your query ( this and last one also) and understood it well.
If your tests are negative that means you are not infected with HIV.
The risk of HIV transmission through unprotected anal sex is 1.4% for receiver. An average of one transmission occurred for every 71 exposures.
Seborrheic dermatitis is fairly common in general population.
Seborrheic dermatitis does have an association with stress. But
thinning of hair (hair fall) is commonly associated with stress and called telogen effluvium.
Seborrheic keratosis is quite common in people of your age group and has nothing to do with HIV.
Dont get scared as your tests are normal.
Hope this will help you.

CDC guidelines is there
Detailed Answer:
Hi, welcome again,
There are clear cut protocol and guidelines from The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and there are no chances of error.
Eyes getting stuck together is also a sign that you could be having seborrheic blepharitis which is the same process affecting the eyelashes as it is affecting your scalp. Alternatively it may be due to conjunctivitis (viral or bacterial).
Night sweat may be due to some other infection, Tuberculosis is one of them. Stress and anxiety may also cause this.
Don't get panic if your test results are normal, you don't have HIV.
Hope this is helpful.
Thanks.
This has gotten so bad somehow I chipped a tooth in the front and I am putting it on hiv and I am scared to go to the dentist
Signs and symptoms of HIV does not come at once
Detailed Answer:
Hi, welcome again,
Signs and symptoms of HIV does not come at once. It is the decrease in CD 4 count which initiates or flares up the opportunistic infection, and decrease in CD 4 count takes years.
CD4 count will show whether there is problem in immune system or not.
Contact dentist for your dental problem.
Hope this will help you.
Thanks.
