Suggest Treatment For Sero-negative Rheumatoid Arthritis
Question: Hello. In May 2014 I was diagnosed with sero-negative rheumatoid arthritis. I was put on 15mg of Methotrexate weekly, Prednisone 5-10mg daily as needed, and Folic Acid 1mg daily. My RA symptoms have resolved, but my bloodwork hasn't. My results as of May, XXXXXXX and September are:
CRP - 1.7, 2.2, 2.3
WBC - 11.8, 13, 15.1
Neutrophils - 7630, 7670, 9570
Lymphocytes - 3430, 4460, 4480
ESR - 41, 38, 45
Other CBC counts are within normal range. The only symptom I am having is relentless fatigue. Should I be concerned that something else is going on?

Brief Answer:
6 months of time
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Treatment of choice for sero negative rheumatoid arthritis is methotrexate and you were treated on the right track.
Methotrexate is an antimetabolite and antifolate drug and after treatment with this drug it takes around 6 months of time for bloodwork to become normal.
Since your rheumatoid arthritis symptoms have resolved you do not need to worry.
