Suggest Treatment For Sever Hair Lice Infection
Question: hi my wife is struggling with hair lice for the past 2 months. She is a new mother and gave birth to our son in February. For the past one month we have tried a number of things to remove the lice namely regular head washes with medikar shampoo, warm coconut oil, garlic paste and hear spa treatment at the saloon. She is also regularly using the lice comb. Kindly advise on how to get rid of this problem at the earliest.
Brief Answer:
1% permethrin creme rinse
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic
I have gone through your concern and I have understood it.
Treatment of head lice is by application of 1% permethrin creme rinse, which should be applied on to air-dried hair, to the whole hair length i.e from root to tip, after shampoo and left over for at least 30-45 min to act before shampooing again.
Single application is usually sufficient. It is ovicidal as well & therefore effective against nits as well.
You can try to find it from a drug store near you.
Regards
