To recapitulate: Female/48 - severe pain in stomach - as high up as possible - consulted a Doctor - gave narcotic cocktail orally - ruled out heart condition - also have constipation and stress ....
The most probable causes of such a condition can be as follows:
- Related to stomach like severe gastritis,
- GERD - gastroesophageal reflux disease,
- Rare conditions like Pancreatitis, stomach volvulus.
- Inflammation of the lower lungs and/or pleura.
I would advise you the following:
X-ray of the chest
X-ray of the abdomen in standing position
Ultrasound of the whole abdomen.
Upper GI Endoscopy, colonoscopy after preparation.
Tests of blood,stool and urine.
Further tests as per the clinical evaluation, examination and reports of the primary investigations to get the most probable diagnosis and get treatment accordingly.
