Suggest Treatment For Severe Abdominal Pain And Dry Heaves

Question: I have been diagnosed via blood work and an ultra sound exam. Have a surgical consult apt in 2 weeks. Currently having an attack. Severe abdominal pain, dry heaves. No temperature. Should I go to the emergency room ?

I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.

I would suggest that you try first and see if Naproxen will help, try to eat meals in small amounts and often, not greasy foods and never skip your breakfast.

If worse or not better, I would recommend going to the ER. Most probably they won't do much except administering medicines to relieve the pain, but also make sure that your gallbladder is not inflamed or has a rupture.
If you start having high fever or jaundice, then you should go as soon as possible in the ER.
