Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thank you for the query. Welcome to HCM.
I understand your query.
Well he is likely to be suffering from dyspepsia (acidity) related pain, however sometimes presence of ulcer or some other causes like bile stones can mimic this pain.
Worthwhile getting an sonography done to confirm the diagnosis and endoscopy which is just a 5 minutes test may clinch the diagnosis.
In addition taking an antacid like omeprazole 20 mg once a day which is easily available over the counter may help.
Also eating on time, avoiding sleeping two hours after meals
Regular walk, avoiding excess coffee, alcohol, smoking if any will help.
Taking plenty of fibre in diet, ensuring adequate water intake may help soften stools and reduce pain while defecating. Also avoid straining for stools.
Hope this answers your query.
Wish him a speedy recovery.
Happy to help.
All this will help you in.
