Question: I feel like I'm losing my mind I was fine until I got to work outside today and then I felt a little weird and I felt like it wasn't remembering some of the details and things that happened yesterday. Also there are two comments three hours ago on Facebook I made that I didn't remember making at all even though it shows that I did 3 hours ago, hope I'm not losing my mind. I do suffer from anxiety and last night was the first time in about two weeks where I got a full 6 hours of sleep (with Benadryl).

I don't know if maybe that might have messed with my brain a bit today but not enjoying this. I do remember major events from the last few days.

I believe I am well hydrated and have been taking in electrolytes. All I ate was dried fruit today.

Brief Answer:
This could be a side effect of Benadryl.

Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking from HEALTHCAREMAGIC

I can understand your concern. You have anxiety disorder and some times in anxiety lack of focus, poor concentration etc symptoms are seen. Inability to focus on a particular thing while in anxiety sometimes make an individuals to forget things.

Benadryl or Diphenhydramine is a commonly used OTC drug. The drug though is safe to use but in some individuals is known to result in day time drowsiness and even lack of focus. This side effect of difficulty in maintaining focus leads to symptoms like transient memory impairment or forgetfulness.

So these are two possible causes of the issues you are having. You are not losing your mind. Remain relaxed, in some time you will feel better. The drug has not messed with your brain permanently.

Thanks, Take care
