Hello thanks for asking

If there is no cough or breathlessness then most likely this is occurring due to some muscle spasm. Take muscle relaxant for relief of pain. If pain persists then visit a doctor for evaluation.

Thanks and Take care.

Brief Answer:
This is most likely due to muscle spasm or sprain.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again

If there is no cough then we can rule out infective cause easily. Difficulty in breathing can even occur in muscle sprain too. The pain is more during twisting on bed and that also points more toward spasm rather than any infective etiology.

Take good muscle relaxants for at least 5 days and avoid any strenuous exertion and you will feel better. Diclofenac and Chlorzoxazone combination can help. Talk with a GP for prescription.

Thanks. Take care

So you dont think its anything serious as in cancer of the chest?

Answered by Dr. Seikhoo Bishnoi (9 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
I don't think this is occurring due to cancer.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again

Well I don't think this could be a cancer of chest.

Pain could be a symptom in chest pathologies but cancer chest presents with other common symptoms like

- Persistent recurring cough not relieving by medicines

- Sputum and sometime blood in sputum

- Weight loss

- Serious difficulty in breathing or breathlessness even on resting

- Chest pain might be seen but that will be continuous and is not related to exertion.

- The risk of cancer is more in smokers compared to non smokers.

So remain relaxed if you have no cough and no serious breathlessness then I don't think you should be worried.

Thanks.

I did used to smoke recreational drugs such as cannabis and then this pain stadted when i was turning over in bed and when moving and teisting is hurts. The breathlessness isnt when im sleeping but when im awake. Ive had blood test for cell count and both came back normal. I have lost 10 pounds of weight but i stopped smoking cannabis which has meant i dont eat as much and also have a bit of anxiety and health related anxiety.

Brief Answer:
Cannabis smoking for short period of time doesn't increase the risk

Detailed Answer:
Hello again

Smoking cannabis for short period of time doesn't increase the risk. You are just 21 and this is not the age at which carcinoma lung develops. You have health anxiety too and most likely your symptoms are related to anxiety. But still if you are not convinced then get an opinion of a doctor.

But in my opinion your symptoms don't point towards cancer lung. There is no persistent cough, no blood in sputum, no significant weight loss despite normal appetite or no serious chest pain, so you have no risk of cancer at present in my opinion.

Thanks. Take care
