Question: I got two cigarette burns on the boundary of them it is red and in it they are a mix of green and white what should i do and what type pf burn do you think itis
Brief Answer:
Second degree most likely, but infected
Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
These are likely to be second-degree burns but there are signs of infection.
So you should start an antibiotic course with Amoxicillin 2X 1grams daily for 7 days. Second, you can apply antibiotic creams such as Mupirocin and also apply silicon based ointment or Dermazine. All these medications require a prescription. Some ointments may be over OTC but you should ask this in the pharmacy.
The wound should be kept clean and dry, avoid scratching.
This should heal within 2-3 weeks.
Wish you good health. Let me know if I can assist you further.
