Brief Answer:
can add ibuprofen or naproxen, topical decongestant

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

The sinarest contains a mixture of pain medication, antihistamine and decongestant.

You can use a topical decongestant to help resolve the additional congestion in the left nostril eg otrivine or normal saline drops. Either of these would help

The paracetamol would help with the pain but you can add ibuprofen or naproxen to help with additional relief.

If you have a cough then you can add robitussin to the medication, it is a cough suppressant.

Fluids and rest in addition to the above, would be helpful.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions

Thanks Doctor. We have using Arithromycin too as the problem started with pain in the toncil. The pain in the tonsil is gone but irritation is there so we added Sinarest. Should we just ibrufen or anything else too?

There is a lot of irritation/burning sensation in the eyes too!

Brief Answer:
adding another pain killer should be enough for now

Detailed Answer:
HI

The burning and irritation of the eyes can occur with the cough/cold, the ibuprofen or naproxen should help with that.

Adding another pain killer ( such as the ibuprofen or naproxen), should be enough for now unless there are other symptoms.

In most persons, symptoms last for 10 days to 2 weeks.
