Suggest Treatment For Severe Constipation

Question: Hello. I have been pretty constipated for about 9 days. Have gone to the bathroom a little bit everyday but feel unable to have a normal bm. I just gave myself a fleet mineral enema and nothing happened. However, I only waited about 8-10 minutes. What should I do now? Thank you.

I can understand your concerns.

I will suggest some lifestyle modification and some medicines which I found very useful in my patients with constipation.
1. Take lots of fibres and fluids in your diet by increasing fruits and vegetables. May add psyllium fibres also
2. Do regular exercise
3. Tab tablet bisacodyl and titrate its dose according to the response
4, For routine use take capsule herbolax manufactured by Himalaya company. Its an ayurvedic medicine with good results without any side effects
