Suggest Treatment For Severe Cough Along With Sneezing And Phlegm Discharge

Question: Hi Doctor.
My 3.5 year old daughter has been goring through sever coughs for 3-4 weeks now.
It started with small sneezing and cold like symptoms and later turned into severe whooping coughs with phlegm vomits ( Occasionally when she cries a lot). The coughs have reduced over time now and now she only has whooping coughs during early morning and late night just before sleeping.
We haven't started any proper medication for her as we thought it's just seasonal allergy and will go with time.
As of now only abnormal report which we have seen is CBC with MCv 73.6, Neutrophils 35 and Lymphocytes 60. I am attaching report for more reference.
Reports attached are CBC, AEC and Chest XRAY report.
Please let me know if their is anything serious to worry about or what best I can do for my daughter to recover faster. Any more tests to be done.
Thanks

Brief Answer:
It may be allergic.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the query.
Values you entered for nuetrophils and mcv are in normal range.
It looks like allergic or viral cough.
Other reports are also normal.
Sometime it may take 3 to 4 weeks to go off completely.
If there is no fever, child is active , eating well , you need not to worry.
Try nebuliser or room humidifier to clear the phlegm.
Hope i helped you.

Thanks!! Doctor. My daughter doesn't had any fever in last 2-3 weeks as we have been monitoring it continuously.
The only thing now she has is whooping coughs 3-4 times in a day (Mostly nights)
or when she cries a lot.
She is a active and naughty child and runs and palys around the whole house.
How long do you think will take the phlegm to dry away completely and also WBC will come to normal values. What is the normal range of WBC in kids.

start the symptomatic treatment
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for follow up.
I would advise you to start mucolytic and antiallergic after consulting a doctor.
It may take 3 to 5 days more.
Increase nebulisation frequency.
Also remove books, curtains from your childs room to avoid dust.
Wbc count of 5000 to 15000 is normal for 3 yr child.
Lymphocytes will comes to normal (below50) within 1 to 2 weeks.
Hope i helped you.
