Budecort respules are only helpful in patients with asthma, it is a long acting drug which does not provide immediate relief. I recommend that you stop nebulising him with budecort, Mucomix (n-acetylcysteine) would be better for nebulisation instead of budecort. It melts the sputum and also helps in bringing the secretions out.

Hello
Acetylcysteine works for wet cough more than dry cough. Cold will improve gradually in 5-7 days and cough will take a little while longer than that. If she starts developing fever then she might have to be treated with antibiotics. Continue to use allegra, stepping up on the anti histamine is unnecessary at the moment. It will only make her more drowsy and uncomfortable
I must add here which I did not in my previous reply to you is that if she is complaining of breathing difficulty and you notice that she is wheezing then you can go ahead and use the budecort.
Please get back to me with any further doubts, i'll be happy to get back

Hello
Thanks for getting back, I am sorry for the short delay in my response to you, it was a very busy day at the hospital.
I thought since you mentioned 'bronchospasm' in your earlier post to me you would have a fair idea about wheeze.
It is easy to recognize wheeze and it often accompanies a chest infection or exposure to dust. The sound that comes while breathing is like a 'wind going through a crack in the window'. The rate of respiration will also be high. In such a case you can give budecort to provide relief.
Metrogyl in dental patients is to take care of the anerobic bacteria. It is a good choice of antibiotic
I hope I was of help, I am once again sorry for the delay. I am glad your child is doing well. I wish you good health and a speedy recovery
