Suggest Treatment For Severe Cough When Diagnosed With Pulmonary Fibrosis
Question: Hello Doctor,
Since 2015 he is suffering from severe cough, anemia. As soon as he lies down on bed he starts having severe cough and does not sleep, he spends night sitting on chair. After showing several doctors and hospitals he was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis and is on medication since. Medicines work for couple of days and then again he has chronic cough. He was hospitalized for same twice in last 8 months due to shortage or breath and anemia.
Have to visit doctor in coming week, hence wanted to know if there is any hope if we start Ayurvedic or homeopathic treatment. If yes, which hospital do we show in XXXXXXX

I have gone through the detailed history you have given.
Pulmonary fibrosis is very bad disease. Till date there is no cure of this disease. It is chronic, progressive lung disease.
Sorry to say but Ayurvedic and homeopathic treatment will not work in this disease.
So I will not suggest you to consult any homeopathic or Ayurvedic doctor. Newer lung specific anti oxidants like N acetyl cystiene (NAC) and pine bark extract (Picnovit) can be tried.
He can also try perfenidone (anti fibrotic) drug..
