Suggest Treatment For Severe Cough

The physician has continued the medicine as prescribed for 5 days. Now even after completing the prescribed medicine course, I am still suffering from cough. What should I do further to get relief from cough?
I am also taking medicines for High BP and Cholestrol.
Get done ECG and 2d echo.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM.
You are having hypertension and dyslipidemia at very early age of 32.
This suggest possibility of Syndrome X.
And these patients are at increased risk of cardiac problems like heart failure and coronary artery disease.
They are also at risk for bronchitis.
Early stage of cardiac disease can present as dry coughing.
So i advice you to first get done
1. Ecg
2. 2d echo to rule out cardiac cause.
Get done PFT ( pulmonary function test ) to rule out bronchitis.
Prominent bronchovascular marking (BVM) is seen in
1. Normal individual
2. Bronchitis
3. Early pulmonary edema in case of cardiac disease.
Please let me know following things.
1. Your height and weight.
2. Are you having stressful life?
Please reply me answers of above asked questions, so that I can guide you better.
I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health.

Sir, My height is 169.5cm & weight is 100 Kg.
In reference to stressful life, I would like to mention that I also live a life like any other middle class family who is struggling to comply the basic needs of daily life and future security and to perform in his profession. Other than this, I don't think I am living with any extraordinary stresses.
Not able to see your PFT report.
