Suggest Treatment For Severe Coughing And Throat Blockage
Question: My sister has been told by a local physician that she has throat blockage. She is constantly coughing and doctors have only given her antibotics for this symptom. Please advise. Thank You

I think we have to understand if the doctor means her throat is blocked or if he means her airway is blocked.
These are two separate issues - if her airway is blocked this can be caused by a number of things including asthma, bronchitis or pneumonia. Generally we use medications to limit the narrowing of the airway.
If her throat or esophagus is blocked then this may need to be evaluated with some type of endoscopy where a doctor can use a camera to visualize the narrowed area.
Since she is coughing I suspect her airway is inflamed. Her doctors may provide antibiotics, steroids or possibly some inhaled medications to alleviate this.
