Question: Hi Doctor, I have a Doctor appt. tomorrow with a Doctor I am seeing for the first time as my other Dr. had to leave the clinic. On my last visit with her I had ask her for a medication that she could not prescribe because she was not going to be there to follow up. She said what I was having was another symptom of Depression for which I take Effexor. I am miserable and feel like i am just existing rather than living. I only go out every six months to see my Dr. and one reason is because a medication for osteoporosis broke all my teeth to the gum line but that is not the only reason. I feel that what i am experiencing would be helped with Ritalin. It sounds the safest of all I have read and i do. have anxiousness about medication. Point is I can't do anything and am just existing. I need this to help motivate me and give me focus to be able to do what I need to do like be able to get to and sit through surgery on my gums so he can get the broken teeth out of my gums and get teeth. My house looks like a land field cause i just am not able to do anything and it is making the depression worse. I need help. My other Dr. wasn't opposed to Ritalin but i understand she would have had to be there to follow up. So now, six months later, i see my new Dr. and it has been six more months of sadness and inability to fix my teeth and all the other mess and just sadness.
