Vyvanse is used off label for depression but it cannot cause miracle
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing to us.
Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine dimesylate) is an amphetamine derivative administered once-daily for the treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD or ADD) and binge-eating disorder. It is not approved for depression.
If you have symptoms of lack of concentration and difficulty in focusing a task, it may help you in that aspect. It is often used off label for depression. It is strict prescription drug and must be used with legal prescription. So you need to ask your doctor for the same if you want to try this medicine.
15 years depression with trial of most of the treatment strategies is likely resistant depression.
- Please let me know which medicines and other treatment you have tried until now so I can give more comments on your treatment aspect.
Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to hep further.

other options are still there
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for information.
You have taken most of the medicines from SSRI,SNRI adn NRI group.
Other options are mirtazapine, desvenlafaxine, tricyclic anti-depressant (TCA), ECT (electro convulsive therapy) and psychotherapy.
Depending upon symptom profile and doctor and patient’s choice 1, 2 or 3 medicines can be combined. If there is no response with combination of above mentioned drugs lithium, lamotrigine and seroquel are other options.
In resistant depression Thyroid and vitamin B12 level should also be checked. If you have not been tested for the same please go for thyroid hormone profile and serum Vitamin B12 level.Even with normal thyroid level thyroid can be added to treatment.
Please discuss above options with your treating doctor and change treatment.
Hope this answer will help.
Take care.
