Suggest Treatment For Severe Diarrhea While On Nyquil
If just a side effect then the below mentioned regimen will work
Detailed Answer:
Hello sir and welcome.
Thank you for writing to us.
I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. Well if the cause for the diarrhoea has been established and you are sure the cause was the previously taken medication, then the management would be such sir:
+1 tablet of loperamide to be taken twice daily
+1 tablet of ranitidine or omeprazole to be taken 15 minutes before each meal for 3-5 days
+Probiotic powders or tablets to be taken after each meal for 3-5 days
+Drink plenty of fluids (at least 2-3 litres a day)
+Drink an ORS (oral rehydrating solution) in powder form to be mixed with 1 litre of water and finished within 24 hours or in tetra form (1 litre per day)
I am sure things shall soon normalise with the above mentioned regimen. But I would also like to emphasize on the fact that if the cause is infective and not just a side effect of medications, then you will require antibiotics in order to stop the diarrhoea.
I hope you find my response helpful. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.
Best wishes.
