Suggest Treatment For Severe Dizziness, Dryness In The Mouth And Tongue Swelling

Following details are required first...
Detailed Answer:
Hi my dear,
I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.
Your case in short:
- 62 years old female
- symptoms: get dehydrated easily; lightheaded, shaky, jerky although drinking a lot of fluids
1. Although you are giving these symptoms, I need to have a look at blood tests you have already done. Actually, I think you might be having a hormonal problem; however, we can determine it after analyzing the tests reports.
2. I need to also know if you have any other chronic illness like diabetes? heart disease? etc. and if you are currently taking any medication on regular basis?
3. You are also reporting to have your submandibular salivary gland removed. May I know the exact diagnosis: stones? abscess? or tumor?
4. Alteration in normal flora of the mouth can also give the sludge-like burning sensation in your mouth. Keeping good oral hygiene, and taking probiotics can help.
Oral swab culture testing is further recommended to rule out fungal infection of the mouth.
Looking forward to have the requested information in.

Stomach hyperacidity/hormonal problems to consider in your case...
Detailed Answer:
Hi back my dear,
Thank you for providing the requested information.
I understand that you might excluded all kind of diagnosis, however, diabetes insipidus and thyroid problems are also to consider and rule out; this is supposed after reviewing your tests reports.
To my judgment, from your description, we must understand why the salivary gland was infected and got stones. Other salivary glands can also be affected by stones. So, their possible infection/inflammation can also cause all the mouth and tongue problems you are having; which are in fact considered as dehydration from you.
Long term use of PPIs (proton-pump inhibitors) can also cause mouth problems you are having. Heartburn itself/acid reflux or gastritis or even other stomach problems associated with hyperacidity; all of them can cause your mouth and tongue problems. If heartburn is well managed, the oral problems will get eased too.
So, to me all your problems seems related to : stomach hyperacidity and hormonal changes that should be further evaluated. Menopause hormonal changes should also consider.
Hope this helps.
