Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome and thanks for your query.
Appreciate your concern for your mother.
Breathlessness on exertion can result from causes related to the heart like decreased pumping action of the heart which may be diagnosed from an echocardiogram. Or it may be related to decreased lung function. Spirometry is the test to diagnose this.
If these tests have been done, please upload the results. If not, it would be worth getting these done as the treatment would depend on the findings.
Do get back to me if you have further questions.

Detailed Answer:
Spirometry is done by technician supervised by a pulmonologist and echocardiogram is done by a echocardigrapher and interpreted by a cardiologist.
There may be specialists in Internal medicine who would do both.
I shall appreciate it if you would let me know the results.
Best wishes,
