Posted on Fri, 5 May 2017
Question: I have loud sounds - crackling or sing songy from my lungs. Loud enough to be heard by others in the room. Constant. I had a dry cough for a couple of days. Now you'd think was hiding a cat or a baby!!

Brief Answer:
Please get medical help

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking in HCM

I can understand your concern.

According to the history this might be a not good situation of your lungs.

It would be better for you to do a lung and heart check up with the following tests:

Chest x ray
ECG
Arterial blood gases
Electrolytes
Cardiac ultrasound

Sometimes cardiac problems may cause these noises in the lungs

Until having the results you can use inhalers (like Ventolin several times) to relive the symptoms .

Please if you feel breathlessness too you should get medical help.

So discuss with your doctor for the above.

I wish you a fast recovery
